El valle de los ingenios, cubaThe valley, registered on the heritage of the UNESCO, lived until the XIXth century of the culture of sugar canes, where from his name "Ingenios" which means "Sucrier" in Spanish. We can visit it in scooter, rented at Trinidad for example, or aboard a nice little steam train.

One of the main attractions today in the valley, is Torre Manacas Ignaza, formerly dedicated to the surveillance of the slaves working in fields. At its feet a small market where you will find craft works of the region much cheaper than to Trinidad.

But there is also, in the valley of Los Ingenios, rivers where bath buffaloes, big trees where nest birds flies and mangoes with fruits big as coconuts...
